Joe Pisciotta, a former history teacher and soccer coach, has been a free-lance amateur photographer for over 30 years. He sees himself as a Renaissance photographer, capturing the unusual and angles not typically photographed. He likes shooting a wide variety of candid subjects during his international travels but he says Washington has it all; it is the place where history comes alive through the incredible memorials and the opportunities to photograph political figures, military events, sports, city life, architecture, people, and animals in nature. His singular photos of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon were included in the "Here is New York" Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Women’s Military Memorial in Arlington, VA, and other venues in the Northern Virginia area over the past 20 years. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Photographic Society. See Joe's full gallery at pisciottaphotos.com.
